Fastenberg above Schladming

Fastenberg is actually part of the community of Rohrmoos-Untertal and is home to the famous Planai / Schladming ski area. The breathtaking scenery, the fog-free location, the advantage of spending a vacation in a peaceful setting breathing in good mountain air, as well as being able to reach Schladming, host town of the Ski World Championships, in just a matter of minutes - all of this draws more and more holidaymakers, summer and winter, up to this mountain of ours.
Our Hotel Schröckerhof is accessible by means of a new and very well maintained road.

Winter on the Planaizoom

Hochwurzen & Planai - the 4-Mountain Ski Area

The Planai is THE ski area in Schladming. Pistes ranging from easy to expert are great fun for the whole family. Glorious pistes and deep-snow runs await you in the  4-Mountain Ski Area

Ski schools with experienced and professioanl ski instructors welcome all skiers who wish to learn or improve their skills. Winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing - we have all kinds of places and spaces for fun in the snow.

The Dachsteinzoom

The Dachstein

The Dachstein massif with its glacier is the emblem of the Schladming-Dachstein region and is readily visible from the Schröckerhof.
As a sightseeing destination, it has long since made a name for itself around the world.  In summer,  1 x per week you are able to use our region's included Sommercard for a free cable-car ride up to the glacier. Venture a glance from the "Sky Walk" viewing platform down into the abyss below your feet, or perhaps visit the Ice Palace.

Spring horse festival in Ramsauzoom

Ramsau am Dachstein

The Ramsau am Dachstein region, which is located only 10 minutes from the World Championship town of Schladming, is situated on a high plateau. Ramsau encompasses an area of high alpine pastures, as it does the mountain massif of Dachstein glacier. In winter, here you will find unique cross-country trails both for pros and for more casual skiers. In summer, Ramsau draws mountaineers as it does laid-back holidaymakers wanting to enjoy extended strolls out on the high plateau.

Town of Schladmingzoom

The town of Schladming

The town rights of Schladming were first chronicled back in the year 1322. It looks back on a once rich mining tradition, primarily silver, copper and lead.
Today, those mines have long since shut down. But instead, Schladming is the host city of the Alpine Ski World Championships 2013. Visit the thriving downtown area with its numerous shops, cafes and restaurants.
