In the holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein, there are countless excursion possibilities - especially in nature, but also those that can be visited on bad weather days.
Enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Schladming with its many shops, cafes and restaurants. The town museum provides interesting insights into the development of the former mining town Schladming to the host of the Alpine Ski World Championships (1982 and 2013).
The town rights of Schladming were first chronicled back in the year 1322. It looks back on a once rich mining tradition, primarily silver, copper and lead. Today, those mines have long since shut down. But instead, you can find many places where you can explore its fascinating history.
